NOAH IS TWO!

he's two alright... he is acting like a textbook 2 year old. and that's all I'll say about THAT... he's our big boy now. he's talking a lot more and doing a lot more. he does EVERYTHING Sophie does. textbook boy. loves cars, being rough, screaming and getting dirty. we love him. SO MUCH. he is such a snuggler and a sweetheart. always looking out for others and absolutely adores Owen. we love you little guy. keep us smiling.

Owen is 2 months!

This little guy is growing by the day. he is up to 12.5 lbs last time they checked, and is strong as can be. he can hold up his head and is smiling and talks all day. we can't get enough of him. except for when he goes on a crying streak... then we can. ;) the kids are doing great with him. they help me SO much when he cries and they get his pacifier and rock him to calm down and I'm in the shower or cooking or something. Noah wakes up every morning asking for him. he LOVES him. I think they are gonna be great buddies growing up so close in age.

Thanksgiving 2012

we hosted thanksgiving at home again this year and it was a success! we are not big fans of turkey, so we opted for a ham. which was delicious. and everyone enjoyed a fun day off :)

HALLOWEEN 2012

Most fun Halloween YET! the kids did AWESOME! sophie ran with her friends the whole time and got a HUGE load of candy. Noah hit a few houses and was happy sitting in the stroller with a sucker. and Owen slept in the stroller the whole time. what a FUN Halloween.

1 month old Owen

I can't believe he is one month old. He's doing great! growing like a weed. over 9 lbs already. Got his first cold already, and LOVES to have parties with mom in the middle of the night.. me? not so much. He stays awake from like 2 to 4. it's exhausting. so we're hoping he changes that soon. Sophie and Noah are doing great. pushing every button known to man, but doing good. they have learned to play together a LOT better. it's SO nice. Starting to get the hang of this 3 kid thing. little by little ;)

Owen has finally arrived!

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY OWEN DRAKE ANDERSON!
BORN OCTOBER 1ST AT 2:59PM
7LBS 15OZ 19.5 INCHES LONG

I guess I shouldn't say "finally" since I was only 38 weeks. but gosh those last weeks seem to drag on for months. I went in for my 38 week checkup with bags packed, people "on call", and my house clean and ready for a newborn. I knew that I was gonna be able to talk my doc into inducing me a week earlier than scheduled ;) when I was at a 4+ dilated at the appt he agreed to let me go into labor and delivery after he stripped my membranes. by the time I got checked at labor and delivery I was already a 5+ and when he broke my water I was already to a 6+. all withing maybe 45 mins. Dr. England suggested I get my epidural asap cause things were moving right along and very quickly and decided to skip petocin cause my body was having no problems dilating. I was having a few "braxtons" but then the doc told me those were actually really good strong ones... apparently I have "good contractions" for a few weeks before delivery then cause I had those kind a lot. anyway, the epidural came and stopped everything. no contractions or anything. and lowered my blood pressure super low and dropped Owen's heart beat so I was a bit nervous about ending up having another c-section. but a bit of medicine got me out of lala land and made the room stop spinning. we started petocin and the contractions got me ready to push in about an hr. after about 8 mins of pushing and 3 contractions little Owen Drake Anderson was here at 7lbs 15 oz and 19.5 inches long. and he was SO BRUISED. Nurses said it looked like he had the cord wrapped around his neck and got all bruised up and it's why his heart would dip every time I had a contraction.

After only a couple hrs the bruising started to go away completely and was pretty much all gone in a day. and his HAIR! we are all in LOVE with his hair.

Owen and I stayed at the hospital till Tuesday and went home and have been loving being at home. the kids have been super sweet to him and leave him alone which is fantastic. it has been so busy around the house that I have NO idea how I'm gonna do it when Derek goes back to work! we'll manage I guess.

37 weeks

I always want to remember where I am at the end of pregnancy... so for future reference, went to the doc today and was almost a 4cm dilated and 70% effaced. Owen measured at 6lbs 14 oz and is still definitely a boy. LOL (always have that double checked) can't wait for him to come!!

Pre school and Soccer begin!

Sophie started pre school today for the last year before kindergarten! she's also playing soccer and she is LOVING it. she just runs around not even caring about the ball, but she LOVES it. LOL we have fun watching her run, chat with her friends while running, and run into people when she's running while the ball goes right by her. HAHAHA we love it.

St George 2012

We had the chance to go to st. george with some friends of ours and relax for the labor day weekend. it was SO nice. us ladies relaxed, the boys golfed and the kids played. ALL weekend long. I didn't take many pictures cause we were out swimming, or playing or eating. but I did capture SOME moments. we got to stay at our friend billy's parent's summer home which was BEAUTIFUL, had a GORGEOUS view of the valley and the golf course, theater room that the kids really enjoyed, the putting green in the back yard where the kids golfed all weekend and plenty of room for everyone to play and relax! can't wait to do it again!
