the upside of being sick

So last few days I've been down with a nasty cold. no biggie just sucks not to be able to drug myself and get over it. However! Derek being the sweethear he is went and got me some flowers to wake up to on Saturday to make me feel better. And I thought the flower in the middle was the most beautiful flower! its just perfect and it looks full on fake. just wanted to share it. cause I had nothing else to share because I sat on my couch sick all weekend. hahahah

I am very proud of my craftiness. I didn't think i could pull it off but I did! and thanks to Mandy for helping me find the stuff at the store cause I was as lost at Robert's as I would have been in the freeways of LA. hahaha When I get her name hung up with ribbon in her room I'll take pictures

Derek's Remodel Project

My dad's basement needed a face lift after I ruined the walls by painting them.... hahah so derek painted the whole basement and re-did the base boards and we replaced all the flooring in the basement. Now. Don't laugh about my dad's one chair theatre in front of his TV. We make fun of him but he won't change it or buy couches. So we call it the insane theatre where they strap the person to the chair and make them watch TV. hahaha anywho. here are some pics.

BABY SHOWER TIME!

Saturday we had a little baby shower at my mom's. It was a lot of fun and I got to spend some time with family and old friends! it was great to see everyone. Thank you for all the gifts! I swear Sophie already has more clothes than I do.

I keep growing and growing and growing....

So I am now 31 weeks and counting! I have my first bi-weekly appointment this coming monday. It's nuts how fast its going! I can't believe how close its getting. And I don't realize how much I'm growing until I see myself in a picture. I guess i can't see past the top of my belly so I haven't seen my tummy for a while. hahahaha

Derek's Latest Project

So we had a pretty old dresser that needed a face lift before we could put it in the baby's room... so Derek being the handy man he is painted it and put on some fancy new handles on it. thank you honey!

Sophies go home "outfit"

So I finally got something that Sophie will fit in when she is just born and ready to go home. We were going to get a way cute outfit but then I thought she would probably just be more comfy in a onsesie and she'll probably have a blow out anyway. hahah so I had a onesie made with her nickname. Since my nickname is "cake" hers has always been "cupcake"! and believe me. I can already tell she is a total daddy's girl.
