I'm 11 months old today!

we cannot believe sophie is 11 months old. she is a nut. we love her personality and she is a riot. she is everywhere. she is starting to walk! she takes a few steps and falls on her bum. but she is getting better by the day. she will be walking all over the place in no time. She talks up a storm! she thinks she can talk and will sit and tell you a story if you want. hahah she opens her books and points and talks like i do when i read to her. she is getting all top 4 teeth at the same time poor little thing but is taking it very well. she is already in a front facing car seat because of all the travel we do from where we live she was not having it backwards anymore. plus she is WAY too heavy to be carrying with a car seat. we cannot wait for the 1st birthday!!

What a Valentines!

So after coming back from Arizona to visit macaia, which I didn't take ANY pictures cause im not a picture taker... derek was still out of town to Reno for a school competition. He surprised me by getting me a spa retreat at journey's end spa in Lehi. WOW. amazing! I got papered and treated like a queen! I got an hr massage and pedicure and foot massage and it was just amazing. that place does a very good job with their retreats. they put me in a big puffy robe and slippers and gave me treats everywhere i went and it was just a VERY relaxing morning. I gotta say thank you a TON for derek's dad for coming to watch sophie while i went. and thank you a TON Derek for surprising me with it! I LOVED IT!

Overload!

Yesterday Derek and I had to awesome chance to go to the SLC temple and see his cousin and wife get endowed and sealed to eachother and their little girl. ok. I don't know why, but ever since I had a baby girl I am a total softy. If you've known me for a long time I've always been the tomboy, tough fourwheeling soccer playing red card receiving girl. Now I can't even watch scary movies. We haven't been able to attend the temple since I was like 7 months pregnant due to not being able to get up from a chair haha to having a young baby to building a house. so it was a GREAT trip for us. It made me realize how grateful I am for having the gospel in my life and being able to turn to prayer whenever I need. From very important decisions in our lives to praying so sophie will be able to sleep well. It made me think of when my family was receiving the discussions from the missionaries and how glad I am we decided to get baptized. granted I was only 9, so Im grateful my parents helped me out with my decision. take everything away we have and ever will have and I will still be amazingly blessed. and Im not just saying I'm blessed. all of us with the gospel in our lives have such a power on our hands and behind us to catch us. I have no idea why I felt like posting this but just felt like it. I don't mean to be one of those "my life is fantastic and let me tell you why" people. don't get me wrong. plenty of things go wrong. but I just wanted to tell my family I love them VERY much and thank you for all your love. I guess I'm just having a happiness overload and needed to get it out! hm... maybe I should keep a journal.

our poor little pumpkin... :(

Well! it happened. Sophie got RSV. at least its at the very early stages so its not too bad and we'll probably have her better before it gets too bad. The man that brought her little machine for her breathing treatments said that they had gotten 9 orders that afternoon for the machines! so Ladies watch your little ones! the RSV virus is out and about! keep your babies safe and home! luckly sophie is a trooper and is doing well and its not really making her that cranky. and she actually sits through her treatments wich amazes me because she has to sit still with a mask on her face. maybe she can tell it makes her better. who knows. wish us luck!
